However, 1 month is not enough time to see how it will perform in the future. I had this UPS for a month now and am very pleased.
Kept my machines running through short power outages during hurricane Gustav. This is an awesome product.
I haven't had a power outage yet, so I haven't officially tried it out, but I'm happy with it so far. It was easy to setup and I use it for AV equipments, which it easily handles all of with barely any load register.
The illuminated display shows a lot of useful information regarding the status of the UPS.I liked it so much I bought 2. The Cyberpower UPS Is very smooth working and has some very nice features such as auto shutdown when you designate it to do so.
I have power surge protectors on everything, but having the power go of in the middile off an old photo edit is a real problem--not to mention the stress on the electronics. I don't use the automatic shut down feature as that was not the problem I needed to solve.
The front display gives all the information needed to manage the equipment load. I think, after reading the manual, if you want to use the automatic shut down software, you would be limited to one computer and perfierals per UPS.
We have two computers that we play on nearly every day. I just plugged my two surge protectors into the power supply and everything is great.
Buy it, you will like it. Living in a rual area where the power goes on and off for no reason, I was concerned about all the electronics that was getting abused.
This unit is large enough to carry the load of two desktops, two printers, a scanner, a modem, and a router for nearly 10 min.
